Essentials (Best Value)
These papers are ideal for collectors who want high-quality results without the premium price tag. They're archival, beautifully balanced, and perfect for open editions, professional gifting, or gallery walls on a budget.
Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper
A photographer’s classic, with a satin finish that falls elegantly between matte and gloss. It produces bright, sharp, color-rich imagery without the harsh reflections of gloss paper.
Ideal for: photo reproductions, digital illustrations, and artwork where color pop and detail sharpness matter.
Epson Enhanced Matte Paper
A long-time favorite in our studio. This smooth, non-reflective surface offers incredible color reproduction—and with the matte black ink, it yields deep, rich, clean blacks that feel almost velvety. The artist personally loves this paper for how it enhances a piece, making even economical prints feel fine-art worthy.
Ideal for: reproducing illustrations, drawings, posters, and painterly digital art.
Signature Papers
Choose these when you want texture, depth, and a tactile feel that elevates your print into something almost sculptural. These papers are 100% cotton, acid free, pH buffered, archival, and evoke the heritage of handmade art materials.
Epson Hot Press Bright
Smooth and bright white, this paper has zero texture and lets detail shine through with clarity. It’s crisp, clean, and elegant. This paper has an extremely high color gamut and black density.
Ideal for: minimalist compositions, linework, modern photography, or portraits where every subtle detail matters.
Epson Cold Press Natural
A softly textured, warm-toned paper that lifts and softens artwork. Its tactile feel and watercolor-like surface are perfect for painterly or classic styles. This paper also has an extremely-high color gamut and black density.
Ideal for: expressive works, fine art portraits, textured digital paintings, or reproductions of traditional media.
Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper
Featuring a unique, rich texture and bright white surface, this 100% cotton rag paper delivers vivid color and deep blacks using our Epson UltraChrome inks. The velvet surface offers a refined depth and painterly quality, giving artworks a soft yet dramatic presence.
Ideal for: watercolor-style pieces, soft-focus photography, romantic portraits, and gallery reproductions with classic appeal.
Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper
A favorite for those seeking maximum detail and clarity, this 100% cotton, acid-free paper has a smooth, hot press surface with exceptional dMax and color gamut. The absence of texture gives precision to even the subtlest tonal shifts. Acid, lignin, and chlorine free as well as calcium carbonate buffered to help ensure longevity.
Ideal for: hyper-detailed photography, digital realism, clean line art, and museum-quality reproductions where fidelity is paramount.

Its specially formulated inkjet coating delivers outstanding sharpness, rich color gradation, and excellent water resistance, allowing UltraChrome pigment inks to achieve their full depth and detail. As the smoothest paper in Hahnemühle’s ArtLine range, it’s ideal for high-end inkjet printing.
